PR modules observe the current directives and standardsThe quality control system DS/EN ISO 9001:2000 defines every process throughout our production. Moreover, the entire product range at PR electronics is produced in accordance with international standards including CENELEC, ANSI and IEC. The products observe current directives such as ATEX, EMC, LVD and the PELV/SELV standard. The EMC policy of PR electronics is based on the EU directive 2004/108/EC, which came into effect in January 2005. The European standard EN 61326-1 clearly defines the approved emission limit that the product must observe during test. According to EN 61326-1, the manufacturer must define his own limit for acceptable function deviation when the product is subjected to immunity test. PR electronics’ general requirement is a deviation of < ±0.1% or < ±0.5% of span, dependent on the product type. Today, many process industries require an extended EMC immunity. With a deviation of < ±0.5% or < ±1% of span, dependent on the product type, all PR modules developed since the end of 1998 comply with the NAMUR NE 21 A criterion for burst with a test voltage of 2 kV. For this reason PR modules remain your safest EMC choice today and in the future. Our complete Ex program is designed to observe the strictest safety demands. All modules with an Ex interface are constructed as safety barriers with high 3-/ 5- port galvanic isolations. Products with UL and CSA certificates observe the standard of the legislation in the USA and Canada respectively. Naturally, the achievement of these certificates was necessary in order to become successful in North America. Moreover, FM certifies various products. Besides meeting the requirements of the current directives and standards every product from PR electronics is guaranteed for 5 years and tested and documented individually. |
